Franklin balls are air or gel filled plastic balls designed to improve the rider's body awareness and release tight fascia. The method was developed by Eric Franklin, initially for use with dancers but has been developed by trainers and physios for use with riders.
The session is not like a riding lesson. You will use the balls to gain a greater awareness of your own body and your horse's movement. You will use a variety of balls in different positions such as under your seat, under your thighs and between your arms and your trunk. You will not be asked to do anything you feel uncomfortable with. Through questioning and exploration, you will feel changes that a trainer cannot convey with words alone.
