One to One Pilates

What to expect

Pilates is a low intensity form of exercise designed to increase joint stability and mobility. Clinical pilates is taught by experienced therapists who can modify exercises to suit your ability, fitness level and medical condition.

Your first session will include a short assessment. You will then learn the basics of pilates;

  • Finding neutral spine position
  • Ribcage placement
  • Activation of the deep stability muscles
  • Correct breathing

Exercises will be progressed at a pace you are comfortable with. You will learn exercises which target all your muscles groups, at low load and progressively higher loads. 

You will learn which areas are weak, which areas are tight and where you have asymmetries.
